Dear Readers,

As Heart Month unfolds, I find myself reflecting on my own journey of self-care and how it shapes my health and vitality. Like many of you, I aim to stay active with yoga, mindfulness practices, outdoor activities and a balanced diet enriched by protein powder, greens superfood powder and other supplements. I also embrace indulgences now and then—especially melt-in-your-mouth chocolate—understanding that wellness is a blend of intention and joy.

Yet, even with this foundation, I know I can do more to accept help, and to embrace the incredible providers and resources in our community. After all, winning Super Bowl teams, Olympic gold medalists, even Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey, have utilized coaches to level up their performance in various aspects of their health, careers and lives as a whole. I find that humbling and inspiring.

This year, I am committed to investing in my health and vitality by budgeting for more wellness appointments including regular massages, wellness consults and appointments. These intentional steps are not luxuries, but acts of active self-love—prioritizing my well-being in a meaningful way.

I encourage you to join me in this endeavor. In a world that often feels uncertain, with economic anxieties ever-present, it is essential to make time for health. Consider tapping into the expertise of our local practitioners; here are a just few examples:

  • A wellness center that offers sauna, skin care, colon hydrotherapy or the Energy Enhancement System to detoxify, strengthen and heal the body
  • Acupuncturist for migraines, allergies or digestive problems
  • Naturopathic doctor or nutritionist to support hormone health, digestion, weight management and mental wellness
  • A functional or integrative health provider to address chronic conditions or unresolved issues
  • Physical therapy or chiropractic care for managing pain, posture and mobility
  • Fitness coaches, trainers or classes to support whole-body wellness, a healthy weight and stress relief.

The list goes on.

Even for those of us who feel healthy overall, taking proactive measures with the right guidance can elevate our well-being to new heights. Whether it’s time to visit a holistic dentist or explore massage therapy for lingering aches, our community is rich with professionals dedicated to your health.

Let February be a time of love—not only for others, but for yourself. By investing in your heart health—both physically and metaphorically—you honor your journey and inspire those around you. Together, let’s prioritize self-care and make 2025 a year of thriving, one thoughtful choice at a time.

With love and wellness,
