Bonnie Leggo, LCSW, CSAC, SE-P, RYT, is a dedicated and experienced social worker and therapist based in Milwaukee. Her journey into the world of healing began in the 1990s after she decided to leave a service academy and pursue a career in social work. Over the years, Leggo has amassed a wealth of experience working in hospitals, residential treatment facilities, child protective services and private practice.
A passionate advocate for holistic health care, Leggo integrates various bottom-up approaches such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Trauma Informed Yoga into her therapy sessions. These methods have not only benefited her clients, but also stem from her personal experiences as a client herself. Recognizing the intrinsic connection between the body and mind, Leggo emphasizes that “our issues are in our tissues” and that safety within our nervous systems is crucial for healing. She also provides Somatic Experiencing touch therapy, and starting in 2025, she will introduce craniosacral therapy as a complementary treatment to SE.
Leggo’s practice, Pathways to Healing, Somatic therapy and consulting, LLC, recently relocated to the Historic Pabst Brewery District at 1037 West McKinley Avenue, in Milwaukee, near the Fiserv Forum. She offers both telehealth and in-person therapy sessions, providing flexibility and accessibility for her clients.
For readers interested in exploring holistic health care, Leggo’s approach offers a unique opportunity to heal from past trauma and enhance overall well-being. Her methods encourage meditation, grounding and focusing on the positive aspects of the present moment, leading to increased presence in personal relationships, work and personal time.
