Natural Wellness with a Modern Touch: The Guild of Modern Wellness Offers a Welcoming, Collaborative Space
May 01, 2024 12:00AM ● By Natural Awakenings Milwaukee
The Guild of Modern Wellness is a collective of like-minded professionals that share a passion for helping others achieve and maintain wellness in mind, body and spirit through natural, safe, proven modalities.
These practitioners have a collaborative style, working closely together for the benefit of each
client that walks through the door.
Trish Beckman, Founder, The Guild of Modern Wellness
Trish Beckman became a registered nurse in 1991, but it was healing from cancer twice that gave her the inspiration for The Guild. Beckman strives to empower clients to maintain their health through safe, natural treatments that focus on whole-person healing. While she has helped many people regain their health after an illness, she emphasizes that natural detoxification routines and lifestyle changes can help people act before health problems arise. Tools such as whole-body red-light therapy, ozone and infrared sauna can optimize one’s health or help to recover it.
“Illness happens over time. With patience, time and proper tools, the body can heal itself,” Beckman says.
Restorative Laser Therapy: Healing With Light
After registered nurse Christa Christiansen of Restorative Laser Therapy found relief from back pain using red light therapy, she wanted to help others find that same relief. The main tool in her healthcare toolbox is an Aspen Class IV laser, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved medical device that uses photons of laser light to penetrate the skin and rejuvenate cells and tissues. Cell rejuvenation can stimulate recovery and promote healing.
Christiansen uses red light therapy to help decrease pain and muscle tightness, increase range of motion, and promote recovery after surgery or injuries. She adds that it can also help improve skin conditions such as acne, and reduce the appearance of scars. She conducts free demonstrations for those interested in trying the therapy.
“Laser light therapy impacted my life. When I treat clients and see them improve and resume activities they couldn’t do prior to treatment, it makes it all worthwhile,” she says.
ProVita Wellness Clinic: Functional and Nutritional Medicine
Provita Wellness Clinic was formed by Crystal Dillett, a nurse practitioner certified in functional and nutritional medicine. She helps patients get to the root causes of illness through a systems-based biology approach that uncovers the “whys” behind health concerns. “I invest a lot of time in each patient. Learning a patient’s story is the most fundamental step in guiding them to wellness,” she shares.
Dillett uses a combination of natural and conventional approaches to address inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. ProVita Wellness Clinic also offers medical-assisted weight-loss programs that integrate functional medicine concepts with targeted nutraceutical or peptide therapy, which can assist the body in the weight-loss process.
The Clarity Collab: Holistic-Based Trauma Coaching
Retired emergency first responder Christine Bannister-Welch of The Clarity Collab had to regularly process trauma during a long healing journey. Her helping nature inspired her to form Christine Jean Coaching in 2021, which transitioned to The Clarity Collab. Bannister-Welch offers holistic-based trauma coaching for individuals, couples and groups. She sees clients in person at The Guild, or virtually.
“I am a survivor. I know trauma,” says Bannister-Welch. “I’m not afraid to step into your chaos and lead the way out.” Using a three-pillared approach, she addresses mental, physical and spiritual wellness through strategies that help clients learn to face their traumas and deal with them, rather than bury post-traumatic stress.
Bannister-Welch is certified through The FEW Institute of Certified Coaches. She holds certifications in trauma and abuse recovery, crisis intervention and critical incident stress management.

Laser Therapy offers benefits such as reduced pain and inflammation, accelerated tissue repair and improved circulation through the use of focused light energy to stimulate cellular activity and healing processes in the body.
Infrared Sauna Therapy can promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension and support detoxification by using infrared light to generate heat that penetrates the body more deeply than traditional saunas.
Ozone Sauna Therapy may provide health benefits like improved circulation, detoxification, and immune system support through the introduction of ozone gas into the body.
