Shorewood Family Chiropractic is now offering dry needling for $30 per session as an add-on service to chiropractic adjustments. Dry needling, used to treat musculoskeletal pain, is a treatment where thread-like needles are placed into trigger points, also known as muscle knots. These trigger points are areas of tension that can cause local or referred pain.
Benefits of dry needling may include a reduction of pain and/or muscle stiffness, an improved range of motion, increased blood flow and faster local healing. Dry needling can be helpful for many conditions, including general neck or back pain, tendonitis, tension headaches and plantar fasciitis.
