The Dare to Be Aware Fair, also known as the “Dare Fair”, takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 30 at Alverno College, in the Sister Joel Read Conference Center. The event features more than 100 exhibitors and 14 free workshops led by local and national experts in awareness, enlightenment and healthy lifestyles, including fair-founder Jill Borsos’ workshop Be a Practical Mystic.
Admission: $5. Visit DareToBeAwareFair.com for location map, exhibitors and presenters. For other questions, call 414-374-5433 or email [email protected].
Exhibitors run the gamut from leaders in personal growth and wellness to astrology and tarot readings, from massage therapists, chiropractors and energy workers to crystal, jewelry, aroma and fun clothing vendors.
Erik Swenson returns this year to open the fair with his popular Global Healing Circle; arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. to participate in this event. This year’s keynote speaker is author and coach Markus Kasunich, speaking on Conscious Relationships. Markus and author Peig Myota will do book signings after their presentations. Artists, psychics and readers will be in the La Verna Commons, a more open and quieter area.
The office of former Mayor Tom Barrett (who just became U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg) has once again proclaimed Dare to Be Aware Day in Milwaukee, honoring the fair’s contributions to the wellness of the city. “If you want to know what’s happening in southeast Wisconsin when it comes to natural wellness, the Dare Fair is where you’ll find it all,” says Patricia Clason of Center for Creative Learning, the personal and professional development firm that organizes the fair. Natural Awakenings Milwaukee is a major sponsor of the fair.
