Milwaukee Film Adapts Annual Festival to Fit Your Screen
Milwaukee Film has adapted its popular fall film festival into a 15-day virtual film festival to bring the greater Milwaukee community together in film. Though it will be held virtually, the 12th annual Milwaukee Film Festival (MFF2020), presented by Associated Bank, will take place during its previously announced dates of October 15 to 29. Milwaukee Film also hosted a virtual version of the second annual Minority Health Film Festival from September 10 to 24.
Cost: Passes–$75 for Milwaukee Film members; $140 for non-members. Individual–$5 for Milwaukee Film members and $8 for non-members. For more information, visit MKEFilm.org.
“This is a way for us to give our community some much-needed opportunities to connect and celebrate,” states Jonathan Jackson, CEO of Milwaukee Film, on the organization’s website. “Usually our fall events wrap up an incredibly packed season of festivals in our city—but this year, most of Milwaukee’s beloved fests have been canceled.”
Milwaukee Film will present both festivals through CineSend, a platform that has powered several other film festivals that switched their events from in-person to virtual. CineSend provides viewers the opportunity to consume content on their televisions through platforms like Android TV, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and ROKU. Passes for the MFF2020 can be purchased through October 12. Individual tickets go on sale October 15.
