Self-Guided Garden Tours Offer Outdoor Reprieve

Two separate garden tours in the Milwaukee area will take place in July, offering opportunities to get outdoors to enjoy the beautiful and diverse estate grounds while socially distancing. The Greenfield Beautification Committee will host A Day at the Radler Garden from 9 a.m. to noon, July 18. The self-guided tour lets visitors explore the garden of Will Radler, propagator of the Knock-Out Roses. The two-acre garden allows space for social distancing.

The Lakeside Garden Tour is a free, self-guided venture of 15 gardens throughout Milwaukee’s East Side. The tour takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 26. Several gardens featured on the tour are on smaller city lots and incorporate methods such as vertical growing. Gardeners will be out to answer questions while socially distancing.

Cost: $10 for A Day at the Radler Garden. Location: 10020 W. Meadow Dr., Greenfield. For more information, updates or to purchase tickets, call 414-545-3381 or visit GBCInfo.org. For maps, information and any updates about the Lakeside Garden Tour, call 414-331-1270 or visit LakesideGardenTour.com.
