One Day Is Not Enough—Celebrate Milwaukee Earth Month
Throughout the month of April, the Urban Ecology Center will promote sustainability initiatives through Milwaukee Earth Month. UrbanEcologyCenter.org will share weekly easy tips from one of the 6 R’s: refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle. The website also has information about membership benefits, volunteer opportunities, its three local branches, and the current programs and events.
The Urban Ecology Center dates back to 1991, beginning as a volunteer effort to clean up Riverside Park and teach neighborhood children about nature and science, and has since grown to permanent locations in Riverside Park, Washington Park and the Menomonee Valley, near Three Bridges Park.
