Many of us see spring as a time of renewal. The mild days allow us to open up our homes and let the fresh air in, cleansing away the staleness of a long winter. As we watch nature slowly come back to life during the magic of spring, it’s a wonderful opportunity for a thorough spring cleaning, one that involves refreshing not only our home, work and outdoor environments, but also the internal environment that affects our health.
This month’s issue, with the themes “Women’s Wellness” and “Thyroid Health,” teaches women (and men) easy, everyday steps we can take to renew our bodies, inside and out. Kathleen Barnes’ Fit Body feature, “Facial Fitness,” teaches easy facial exercises to tone the face and neck. Judith Fertig’s “How to Reboot Your Eating Habits” discusses simple ways to change grocery-buying behaviors and make good food choices to optimize health and head into summer feeling great.
As flowers begin to bloom and the sun warms our extended days, I encourage each of us to savor springtime’s opportunity for optimism, renewal and this seasonal occasion to make positive changes in the home, the body and the spirit.
With love, joy, peace and gratitude,
Gabriella Buchnik, Publisher
