MotorWeek’s Emmy- Winning Host to Speak at Midwest Clean Cities Conference
John Davis, the Emmy award-winning host of the automotive television series MotorWeek, will emcee and speak at the Clean Cities Green Drives Conference and Expo, sponsored by the Lake Michigan Consortium, on May 19.
Clean Cities coalitions from Chicago, Wisconsin and Northern Indiana are partnering to host the green transportation conference at the Northern Illinois University Conference Center, in Naperville. Green Drives will showcase fuel-saving and carbon-reducing technologies for commercial, industrial and consumer use. It also will feature private and public fleets from the tri-state region that use clean-burning fuels such as natural gas and propane, electric vehicles and other petroleum-reduction strategies.
“John adds to our terrific lineup of speakers and educational sessions planned for this year’s conference,” says Lorrie Lisek, executive director of Wisconsin Clean Cities. “Green Drives is a great opportunity to learn about new vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, charging and fueling infrastructure, and funding and incentives.”
The Lake Michigan Consortium, created in 1999, comprises three Clean Cities coalitions: Chicago Area Clean Cities, South Shore Clean Cities and Wisconsin Clean Cities. The three nonprofits are focused on promoting cleaner energy for private and public fleets in the Chicago area, Wisconsin and Northern Indiana.
