Sound Healing Education Program Accepting Students
The new Angel Light Center for Healing Arts School of Sound and Healing is offering an educational opportunity specifically designed for anyone interested in using sound to facilitate healing in themselves or in others. The school comprises four weekends in February, March, April and May. The first class, covering Sound Basics, begins from 5 to 8 p.m., February 12, and continues over the weekend from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., February 13 and 14.
Healing practitioners of all genres, therapists, social workers and those working in the many phases of allopathic medicine can benefit from the program. The opening weekend will present a pan-cultural perspective of sound as both music and a tool for healing. Subjects covered include the history of sound in healing; the metaphysical use of sound; the fundamentals of sound; and the “magick” of sound, tone and music.
The certificate program offers instruction and experience in sound healing basics, creating sacred space with sound, using sound as power and the acoustic archeology of sound, which incorporates the sounds and ceremonies used by indigenous cultures throughout time.
