John Whitcomb, M.D., board certified in internal and functional medicine and founder of Brookfield Longevity and Healthy Aging Clinic, has completed an Integrative Cancer Fellowship at the University of South Florida. During the fellowship, he learned many new functional medicine cancer therapies that he plans to incorporate into his practice, including intravenous vitamin C and tetrathiomolybdate, an anticopper therapy.

In traditional medicine, most cancer patients are offered only chemotherapy and radiation, and Whitcomb says that while those two modalities work, they have many adverse side effects. “We have a comprehensive program in cancer therapy, in addition to our functional medicine practice,” he says.
