Dr. Diana Milling has joined Naturopathic Doctor Sarah Axtell at Lakeside Natural Medicine, in Shorewood, and will begin seeing new patients January 4. Milling, who focuses on naturopathic oncology, provides consultations that can play an important role alongside allopathic, or conventional, treatments for cancer.

Milling believes that while chemotherapy, radiation and surgery can be effective in the cancer treatment process, the patient may be left feeling nauseated, fatigued, emotionally unstable and overall unwell. The use of natural supplements such as vitamins, minerals, herbs and homeopathic remedies, as well as an individualized diet plan, can be very effective as a complement to conventional treatment protocols.
