Inspiration Studios, a new venue in West Allis that will house the Village Playhouse and Erico’s Gallery, as well as space for art exhibits and performance art, will hold its grand opening at 3 p.m., March 1. The party promises music, refreshments and a variety of activities, such as art projects and theater improvisation, for adults and children.

Erico’s Gallery is the venture of painter, musician and retired educator Erico Ortiz. Village Playhouse is an established community theater group that has performed such classics as Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and Steel Magnolias. The group performed at high school auditoriums before collaborating with Erico’s Gallery at the Inspiration Studios space.

“The intention of Inspiration Studios is to provide worthwhile art and theater experiences to the residents of West Allis and the greater Milwaukee metropolitan area. We will offer a variety of exhibits and performances at the same high standards as existing venues, but in a more intimate setting,” comments Ortiz, the CEO of Inspiration Studios.
