The Kompost Kids, an all-volunteer nonprofit, will host a Mother Earth Day fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m., May 11, at the Humboldt Park Pavilion. Admission includes food, beverages and entertainment by the Newlybreds band and the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II dancers.

Proceeds support the Kompost Kids mission to educate individuals, businesses, and institutions about the benefits of composting and to reclaim organic materials from landfills to create soil for community-based agriculture projects. Funds will be used to purchase much needed equipment and expand the group’s network of compost sites.
