Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference at Beber Camp
The second annual Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference, the largest and only herbal conference in the Midwest that focuses on women’s health, will take place June 7, 8 and 9, at the Beber Camp, in Mukwonago. The event features a children’s camp and teen track, in addition to more than 40 workshops for women, preconference intensives, movie screenings and entertainment, plus 14 plant walks.
One of many featured presenters, Aviva Romm, M.D., combines her skills as a physician, midwife and herbalist to offer comprehensive, insightful clinical care and education, as well as writing and consulting on general health, women’s and pediatric botanical medicine, ecology and natural living. Renowned herbalist and author Susun Weed, director of the Wise Woman Center, near Woodstock, New York, will also speak; she is known for teaching what she describes as the Wise Woman Way of Herbalism.
