Health and Harmony: a Group Ayurvedic Wellness Program
Jamie Durner
Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and wellness educator Jamie Durner will facilitate a unique eight-week self-care program that explores the connections between body, mind and spirit in relation to chronic imbalance and health to help you live a healthy life. The group program will run Thursdays, from 6 to 8 p.m., January 10 through March 7, or Tuesdays, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., January 15 through March 5, at Ayurveda Wellness, in Brookfield. Like one-on-one clients, group participants gain valuable self-care tools, a personalized wellness assessment and effective individual ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle coaching, but with the added dynamics, support and reduced cost of a group setting.
Grounded in both Ayurveda and yoga, the program uses a commonsense energetic model to cut through the confusion to help individuals live in balance with the world around them. Beyond addressing problematic symptoms such as weight gain, digestive issues, fatigue, insomnia, hormone imbalances and mood disorders, the program helps participants balance the root causes of the symptoms. By developing self-care strategies and the awareness of what created the imbalance and symptoms, individuals are then able to sustain health instead of being stuck in unhealthy habits and frustrating cycles of imbalance.
The program includes eight two-hour classes, a resource workbook, audioguided meditation and breathing exercises, a 45-minute individual consultation and discounted, follow-up individual support. Each class includes a short yoga set and meditation along with weekly wellness topics, recipe tasting, guided activities, self-accountability, and structured sharing and support.
Cost: $535, which can be split into three payments. Location: 240 Regency Ct., Ste. 202, Brookfield. For more information, call 262-389-5835, email [email protected] or visit AyurvedaWellness.org/solutions/group.
