Individuals and businesses committed to providing services to increase and enhance outdoor play spaces for children have joined forces to create the Natural Playscape Alliance. The Alliance is available to design, construct, inspect and maintain play spaces for individuals and institutions that have space to develop and want to help children connect with nature

The Alliance was born of the growing recognition that kids need more safe places to connect with nature. Lead Project Designer Gerry Slater says, “Nature-based play space provides a variety of benefits for children, including teaching appropriate risk-taking behavior, enhancing creativity, increasing attention span and developing early relationships with nature.”

In addition to Slater, the Alliance team includes John LaPointe, from Greener Roofs and Gardens (GRGLandscapes.com), who builds nature-inspired spaces; and Bradley Blaeser, from The Green Team (GreenTeamWi.com), who offers sustainable landscape management. Together, they have more than 40 years experience creating custom outdoor play spaces.
