New Book Teaches Children Self-Love
Setting children on the path to self-love is one of the most important jobs parents and educators have. Beau the Bee, a new book by Minda Devorkin, can help them achieve this goal through its positive, playful story that teaches children tools for building self-esteem. “Years ago, I set out on a mission to instill in children a strong sense of self,” says Devorkin. “Writing Beau the Bee has enabled me to further this vision and to show parents, caregivers, teachers and children how yoga helps young people navigate through life with balance, grace, strength and curiosity.”
Beau is a positive, kind and confident bee who happily takes children on his special journey of learning to love himself, despite looking different than the other bees. He generously shares his helpful life tools so everyone can “bee” their best selves, ultimately promoting their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Devorkin is a former medical social worker that has been teaching yoga to youth, teens and adults in the Milwaukee area since 2005. She received her RYT certification through Kanyakumari Ayurveda & Yoga Center and was also certified by Radiant Child Yoga Program, Karma Kids Yoga, Yoga Ed and Sadie Nardini, founder of Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga. Beau the Bee is available through Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, IngramBook.com and by request from local bookstores.
