School of Unusual Life Learning Presents Whole Life Doula Training Program

The School of Unusual Life Learning (SoULL) is an institute for somatic therapy focused on supporting life processes. SoULL has recently added a Whole Life Doula training program to its offerings. The program combines somatic therapy training with the principles that birth and death doulas have learned over time and expanded it into a holistic system of support for all of life’s transitions.
Like all SoULL programs, the Whole Life Doula program explores unique theories of mind and body, relationships and communities as they are connected to nature and overall human development. These ideas support human helpers and leaders in many fields, including medicine, social work and social justice, and others trying to envision a more vital future for humanity.
“This training is the first of its kind. It allows students to act as companions to people through many life transitions while holding a deep somatic awareness,” says Jeanne Denney, founder of the School of Unusual Life Learning. In-person classes are offered in Racine, while many are also offered online.
