Rooftop Stargazing at Manfred Olsen Planetarium

Enjoy rooftop stargazing on the Skydeck at the UW-Milwaukee Physics building, home of the Manfred Olsen Planetarium, from 9 to 10 p.m., February 11. This free public stargazing event allows people to look through telescopes at the night sky and view the moon, planets, star clusters and other astronomical wonders. (Masks are currently required inside all university buildings, including the planetarium, regardless of vaccination status.)

Before visiting, check the website on the day of the event as it will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather, such as cloudy skies or temperatures below 0° F. The Skydeck is located on the fifth floor of the Physics building. Follow the pink signs to take the elevator at the east end of the Physics building to the third floor and continue left to the staircase that leads to the roof. The Skydeck is not wheelchair accessible.
