Author Kim John Payne, MEd, to Speak on Raising a Socially Resilient Child
Kim John Payne
Kim John Payne, MEd, a consultant and trainer to more than 110 U.S. independent and public schools, will lead a talk, How Parents Can Raise a Socially Resilient Child: Breaking the Cycle of Reactivity, Exclusion and Bullying, from 10 a.m. to noon, April 13, at Prairie Hill Waldorf School. A counselor, consultant, researcher and educator for 27 years, Payne regularly runs workshops and trainings for educators, parents and therapists.
This talk offers tips and step-bystep strategies, developed and tested over 25 years, that families can implement immediately to break the cycle of bullying; bring greater balance into their family and deal with fast-paced, modern family lifestyle; create calmer and more resilient children that can break the cycle of reactivity; and help children build friendships and avoid isolation.
