Sustainability Summit and Exposition Returns to Milwaukee
The 10th annual Sustainability Summit and Exposition will be held from March 6 to 8, at the Delta Center, in Milwaukee. The conference is a collaboration of Wisconsin’s leading corporations and academic institutions, with the mission to highlight historic opportunities in sustainability and green enterprise for investment, development, education, employment and sustainable living. After a nine-year history under the moniker Green Energy Summit, the gathering has been renamed Sustainability Summit and Exposition to reflect the importance of systems and practices that will sustain the economy and the planet for future generations.
The summit features an extensive exhibit hall, as well as national and international speakers and panelists. Keynote speakers include actor and environmental advocate Ed Begley, Jr.; Dr. Michael Mann, director of the Earth System Science Center at Pennsylvania State University; Dr. James E. Hansen, a climate scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies; and Will Allen, founder and CEO of Growing Power Inc., a farm and community food center in Milwaukee. In addition, workshops and field trips will be available before and after the conference on March 5 and March 8.
